Semi-continuous emulsion polymerisation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010727

An emulsion polymerization process where one or more components, typically the monomer, are fed continuously or intermittently into the reactor over the course of the reaction. This method allows for better control over reaction rate, heat generation, and polymer composition compared to batch processes. It is widely used in industrial production of polymer latexes.
