Total mobile-phase volume in column

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012141

The entire volume occupied by the mobile phase within the chromatographic column. This encompasses the interstitial volume between the stationary phase particles and any pore volume within the particles that is accessible to the mobile phase. It is a measure of the column's capacity for mobile phase flow.
