Total organic carbon
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012142
A measure of the amount of carbon present in organic compounds within a water sample or soil, excluding inorganic carbon such as carbonates. It serves as a general indicator of the overall organic matter content and can reflect the presence of pollutants or natural organic substances. This parameter is widely used in environmental monitoring and water quality assessment.
