Permeability

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008666

A measure of the ability of a material to allow the passage of a fluid or a magnetic field through it. In the context of materials, it quantifies the ease with which a substance can diffuse through a membrane or porous medium. For magnetic fields, it describes how a material responds to and modifies the field within it, measured in henries per meter (H/m).
