Permittivity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008675
A measure of how an electric field is affected by a dielectric medium, representing the ability of the material to store electrical energy in an electric field. It describes the resistance to the formation of an electric field within a medium. The SI unit for permittivity is farads per meter (F/m).
