Magnetizability
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006914
A measure of how readily a substance can be magnetized when placed in an external magnetic field. It quantifies the induced magnetic dipole moment per unit magnetic field strength. This property is related to the electronic structure of the material and determines its magnetic susceptibility.
