Magnetization transfer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006915
A phenomenon observed in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy where the saturation of one spin population leads to a change in the magnetization of another, coupled spin population. This occurs through chemical exchange or dipole-dipole interactions. It is exploited in techniques like magnetization transfer NMR (MT-NMR) to study molecular dynamics and exchange processes.
