Saturation transfer difference spectroscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010531
A nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy technique used to detect weak interactions between a ligand and a macromolecule. It selectively saturates the resonances of the macromolecule, and this saturation is transferred to bound ligand protons through spin diffusion. The difference spectrum reveals only the signals from the ligand protons that interact with the macromolecule.
