Saturation fraction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010528

The proportion of binding sites on a protein or other molecule that are occupied by a specific ligand. This value indicates the extent to which the binding capacity of the molecule is being used. For hemoglobin, the oxygen saturation fraction is a key indicator of respiratory function, typically measured as a percentage.
