Loading capacity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006726

The maximum concentration of a solute that can be transferred to an organic phase under specified conditions in a liquid-liquid distribution system. This limit is determined by factors such as the stoichiometry of the extraction reaction and the concentration of the extracting agent. The loading capacity is expressed in units of concentration, such as moles per liter (mol/L).
