Hyperpolarizability
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013174
A measure of the non-linear response of a molecule's induced dipole moment to an external electric field. This property describes how the polarizability itself changes with the strength of the applied field. It is a key parameter in the study of non-linear optical materials and phenomena.
