Proton magnetic moment
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009610
A measure of the strength and orientation of the magnetic dipole of a proton, arising from its intrinsic spin. This fundamental property contributes to the magnetic properties of atomic nuclei and is exploited in techniques like Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Its value is approximately 1.41060679736 × 10^-26 joules per tesla.
