Magnetic transition

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006913

A phase transition in a material where its magnetic ordering changes, such as from a paramagnetic state to a ferromagnetic, antiferromagnetic, or ferrimagnetic state. These transitions are typically characterized by a critical temperature, like the Curie temperature for ferromagnets. They involve changes in the alignment of atomic magnetic moments.
