Spin-glass transition

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011213

A magnetic phase transition where a disordered magnetic system enters a state characterized by randomly frozen magnetic moments, without long-range magnetic order. This transition is observed in certain alloys where magnetic impurities are randomly distributed in a non-magnetic host. It is a type of second-order phase transition.
