Glass-transition temperature
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004896
The temperature at which an amorphous material undergoes a reversible transition from a rigid, glassy state to a more pliable, rubbery state. Below this temperature, molecular motion is restricted, while above it, segments of polymer chains gain mobility. This temperature is denoted as T_g and is a key property for polymers.
