Glass
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004890
A non-crystalline solid material that exhibits a glass transition, which is a reversible transition in amorphous materials from a hard and relatively brittle state into a molten or rubber-like state. This state is characterized by a continuous decrease in viscosity with increasing temperature, rather than a sharp melting point. Many polymers, ceramics, and metallic alloys can form glasses.
