Transition temperature

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012242

A specific temperature at which a material undergoes a change in its physical state or molecular arrangement, such as melting, crystallization, or a phase transition between different mesophases. For polymers, common transition temperatures include the glass transition temperature (Tg) and the melting temperature (Tm). These temperatures are typically determined using techniques like differential scanning calorimetry.
