Thermally-induced transition

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011954

A phase transition in a solid that occurs as a direct consequence of a change in temperature. This transformation involves a rearrangement of atoms or molecules within the crystal lattice, leading to a new stable phase. Examples include melting, boiling, and solid-solid phase changes, which are characterized by specific transition temperatures.
