Structural transition

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011497

A phase transition in a solid material that involves a change in its crystal structure. This transformation occurs without a change in the chemical composition of the material. Such transitions can be driven by temperature, pressure, or other external stimuli, leading to alterations in the arrangement of atoms or molecules within the lattice.
