Mesomorphic transition
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007220
A phase transition involving a change between different mesophases (liquid crystalline states) or between a mesophase and an isotropic liquid or solid phase. These transitions are characterized by specific temperatures and enthalpy changes. They reflect alterations in the molecular ordering and fluidity of the material.
