Mesonephric duct

A paired embryonic duct that develops from the intermediate mesoderm and is associated with the mesonephros, an embryonic kidney. In males, it differentiates into the epididymis, vas deferens, and seminal vesicle, forming part of the reproductive tract. In females, it largely degenerates, leaving only vestigial structures.
