Liquid-crystal transitions

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006690

Phase transitions that occur between different liquid crystalline phases or between a liquid crystalline phase and an isotropic liquid or solid phase. These transitions involve changes in the degree and type of molecular ordering. They are characterized by specific transition temperatures and associated enthalpy changes.
