Cold crystallisation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002200

The process of crystallization that occurs when an amorphous polymer is heated above its glass transition temperature but below its melting temperature. In this temperature range, the polymer chains gain sufficient mobility to arrange into an ordered crystalline structure. This phenomenon is typically observed during the heating of quenched or glassy polymers.
