Cold fibre solid-phase microextraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002201
A variant of solid-phase microextraction where the sorbent-coated fiber is cooled to enhance the adsorption of volatile and semi-volatile analytes from a sample matrix. The lower temperature increases the partitioning of analytes into the sorbent phase, improving extraction efficiency. This technique is particularly effective for the analysis of highly volatile organic compounds in environmental and biological samples.
