Electrokinetic chromatography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013060
A separation technique that combines electrophoretic migration with chromatographic partitioning, typically performed in a capillary. Solutes are separated based on differences in their electrophoretic mobilities and their partitioning into a pseudostationary phase, such as micelles, which moves at a different velocity than the bulk electrolyte. This method is particularly effective for separating neutral molecules.
