Microemulsion electrokinetic chromatography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007320
An electrokinetic chromatography technique that employs a microemulsion as the pseudostationary phase in the separation buffer. The microemulsion, a thermodynamically stable mixture of oil, water, and surfactant, provides a unique environment for solute partitioning. This method is effective for separating hydrophobic compounds that are difficult to resolve by conventional micellar electrokinetic chromatography.
