Micro-emulsion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013284
A thermodynamically stable, isotropic dispersion of two immiscible liquids, stabilized by an interfacial film of surfactant molecules. These systems appear transparent or translucent due to the very small size of the dispersed droplets, which are typically in the range of 10 to 100 nanometers. They form spontaneously upon mixing the components.
