Macro-emulsion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006866
A thermodynamically unstable dispersion of two immiscible liquids, where one liquid is dispersed as droplets within the other continuous phase. These droplets are relatively large, typically ranging from 0.1 to 100 micrometers in diameter. Macro-emulsions are opaque and appear milky due to the scattering of light by the large dispersed droplets.
