Polymer emulsion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009171
An emulsion whose droplets consist of a liquid polymer, or of a polymer in solution, dispersed in a low-molar-mass liquid or in a solution of another polymer. Strictly it differs from a polymer latex, whose particles are solid, although industry often applies the same name to aqueous dispersions of solid polymer particles made by emulsion polymerization.
