Synthetic latex
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011770
A colloidal dispersion of polymer particles in an aqueous medium, produced through emulsion polymerization. These dispersions are stable and can be used directly or processed into solid polymer products. Unlike natural rubber latex, synthetic latex is manufactured from petroleum-derived monomers such as styrene and butadiene.
