Migration time
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007379
The time that elapses between injection of a sample into a separation capillary and the arrival of an analyte zone at the detector in capillary electrophoresis. It is inversely related to the apparent mobility, which combines the effective electrophoretic mobility of the analyte with the electroosmotic mobility. The apparent migration velocity is the ratio of effective capillary length to migration time.
