Sedimentation potential difference

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010653

An electric potential that develops across a suspension of charged particles when they settle under the influence of gravity or centrifugation. This potential arises from the differential movement of charged particles relative to the surrounding fluid. It is a type of electrokinetic phenomenon, measured in volts.
