Levocardia

The normal anatomical position of the heart, where the apex points to the left side of the body. It describes the standard orientation within the thoracic cavity, with the bulk of the heart situated in the middle and left chest. Levocardia is contrasted with dextrocardia, a congenital condition where the heart is pointed toward the right side of the chest, and mesocardia, where it is in the midline.
