Dextroposition

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013034

Displacement of an organ toward the right side of the body, as when the heart is pushed into the right chest by lung hypoplasia or a space-occupying lesion on the left. It differs from dextrocardia, in which the heart is formed with its apex pointing to the right, because the displaced organ keeps its normal internal arrangement and is simply shifted.
