Thoracic duct

The largest lymphatic vessel in the body, draining the lower body together with the left side of the head, neck and chest and the left arm back into the venous blood. It rises through the thorax in front of the spine and ends where the left internal jugular vein meets the left subclavian vein, the left venous angle. The right lymphatic duct drains the remaining right upper part of the body.
