Thoracic spine

The middle section of the vertebral column, consisting of twelve vertebrae (T1-T12) located between the cervical and lumbar regions. These vertebrae are characterized by their articulation with the ribs, forming the posterior aspect of the rib cage. The thoracic spine provides stability and protection for the spinal cord and internal organs.
