Aortic arch

The curved part of the aorta that arises from the left ventricle of the heart and descends into the chest. It gives rise to major arteries that supply blood to the head, neck, and upper limbs. In humans, it typically gives off three main branches: the brachiocephalic artery, the left common carotid artery, and the left subclavian artery.
