Iliac artery

A major artery that supplies blood to the pelvis, hips, and legs. The common iliac artery branches from the aorta and then divides into the external and internal iliac arteries. The external iliac artery continues as the femoral artery in the thigh, while the internal iliac artery supplies organs within the pelvis.
