Aneurysm

A localized, abnormal balloon-like bulge or weakening in the wall of a blood vessel, most commonly an artery. This dilation can occur in any blood vessel, but frequently affects the aorta, brain arteries, or arteries in the legs. Aneurysms carry a risk of rupture, leading to severe hemorrhage.
