Leverage
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013234
A statistical measure in quantitative structure-activity relationship models indicating how much a compound's descriptor values differ from the average of the training set. Compounds with high leverage are outliers in the descriptor space and can disproportionately influence the model's parameters. The leverage value for a compound, denoted h, ranges from 1/n to 1, where n is the number of compounds in the training set.
