Multiphase copolymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007650
A copolymer that spontaneously separates into two or more distinct phases due to thermodynamic incompatibility between its different monomeric units. This phase separation leads to a heterogeneous morphology, where each phase consists predominantly of one type of block or segment. The resulting materials often exhibit a combination of properties from the individual phases, such as toughness and rigidity.
