Nanodomain morphology

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007746

The spatial arrangement and shape of distinct regions within a material where at least one dimension is on the nanoscale, typically between 1 and 100 nanometers. This morphology arises from phase separation in polymer blends or block copolymers, forming structures like lamellae, cylinders, or spheres. The specific nanodomain morphology significantly influences the material's bulk properties, such as mechanical strength or optical characteristics.
