Nanostructure

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007763

A material or component possessing at least one dimension in the nanoscale, typically between 1 and 100 nanometers. These structures exhibit properties that differ significantly from their bulk counterparts due to quantum mechanical effects and increased surface area. Examples include nanoparticles, nanowires, and thin films.
