Multiple inclusion morphology

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007658

A multiphase morphology in which dispersed domains of one polymer each enclose many small domains of a second polymer. The enclosed polymer can match the composition of the continuous phase, as in the salami-type rubber particles of high-impact polystyrene, which hold many polystyrene occlusions inside a polystyrene matrix.
