Multiple heterosis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007657
The summed fitness gain of an individual that is heterozygous at several loci, each locus contributing heterozygote superiority (overdominance), so that the separate effects add up to a higher overall fitness. It differs from single-locus heterosis, where one heterozygous locus raises fitness, because many loci act together in population genetics.
