Fitness advantage

A characteristic or trait that increases an organism's ability to survive and reproduce in a given environment, relative to other individuals in the population. This advantage can arise from genetic mutations, adaptations, or behavioral changes. It is a central concept in evolutionary biology, driving natural selection and the perpetuation of species.
