Vaporization temperature

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012512

The temperature of the atomization surface in electrothermal atomization at which loss of analyte by vaporization becomes statistically measurable. It sets the upper limit of the pyrolysis or ashing step, because heating above it removes analyte before atomization. For a pure substance the general term means the boiling or sublimation point at a given pressure.
