Atomization surface temperature
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012902
The temperature of the interior surface of an electrothermal atomizer at the moment of maximum absorbance during the atomization stage of an analysis. This temperature is a key parameter in methods like graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy, as it influences the efficiency of converting the analyte into free atoms. It is measured in Kelvin (K) or degrees Celsius (°C) using an optical pyrometer.
