Local efficiency of atomization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006734
The ratio of the analyte present as free atoms at a defined point in a flame, such as the observation zone, to the analyte consumed by the nebulizer. It is the product of the efficiency of nebulization and the local fractions desolvated, volatilized and atomized, and it generally falls at high sample uptake rates.
