Local fraction atomized
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006736
The ratio of the number density of free atoms of an analyte to the total number density of the analyte in all forms (atomic, ionic, molecular) at a specific point within a flame or plasma. This quantity is a measure of the efficiency of atom formation in a localized region of an atomic spectrometry source. It is a dimensionless quantity, ranging from 0 to 1.
